our neighborhood is making a strong case

4.17.2015

in the debate over seasons, i have always been the biggest advocate for fall. for as long as we've lived here, andy has been trying to push spring on me, but i stubbornly hung on to my conviction and ignored him. i think i must have closed my eyes too because this morning august and i took a walk to the park and we stopped more than a couple of times with our eyes squinted upward and our mouths gaped open to look up at all the blossoms. i'm not saying that i'm switching allegiances or anything, but from where i stand, spring is looking real good.

We're in August at the moment and even though I'm a Summer kid at heart, August is presenting a strong case - snuggling under doonas, thick socks, hot meals and cute jumpers! Okay maybe each season has amazing things about it because looking at these blooms, Spring presents a pretty strong case too :)

Yes. Your neighborhood is doing it right. Ours is valiantly trying. If our porch weren't yellow from pollen, and if I weren't still so, so sick, I'd be right there with you. Someone I saw described spring as passive aggressive, and right now I might tend to agree. ;)

stunning. I have to run out more to enjoy all the flowers as long as they last. I used to be [still am] a summer person. but spring is sure catching up :)
